As we build our herd of Devons, we are continually selecting for improved characteristics such as conformation, temperament and vigor. Because raising cattle without any grain takes a longer time, we recommend not breeding heifers until they are two years old. By allowing the necessary time for frame development, many potential calving problems can be avoided.
