Greetings from Devonside

Hello Friends: Another busy season is underway on the farm. The merry band of Devons has reached 70 animals with the addition of 18 beautiful calves this spring. While dry weather early in the season suppressed grass growth, recent rains are helping to generate the much- needed forage for this herd. Over the next few weeks, I will be introducing some of the youngest Devons and well as sharing some pics of our mature beauties. Today, I send along a picture of Richard, the herd sire. He is a wonderful bull, with a great temperament and a fondness for shoulder rubs and back massages. Every day, he literally runs to me for that TLC. ( It is still likely a wee bit safer than mountain climbing). more to follow.. take good care, John
